Long gone...

Ok so this is fast, I have been eating horrible! There I said it. I don't think I am going to meet my far fetched goal. Starting over tonight! I did find this wonderful cheese spread. I love cheese, I crave it in my bones! Cheese is really bad for you when you are trying to lose weight, so I found, Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese. It actually tastes like really cheese, not like rubber flavored cheese. I really like it. A lot. Buches.

Russell just got back from Rolla with Kaden. He took him to his ENT appt. Kaden is getting his tonsils and adenoids taken out, and tubes put in his ears again, for the 3rd time. Please pray all goes well and that Kaden doesn't have a lot of pain. Poor guy, he is such a trooper through it all. he has not been hearing well this week. The Dr. said he has 'glue ear' gooey stuff inside that doesn't drain and keeps getting infected over and over. All that stuff makes it to where he cannot hear real well. I just thought it was from being a male! LOL. He should be going for surgery on Feb. 12th in Rolla. Pray for no infections before the surgery or after. Thanks everyone!

Well, I am off to work tonight and tomorrow night. Who knows how much snow we are in for, I am taking bets. Kaden and I want to build a snowman!!
Hope everyone has a great night, maybe I will get lucky and the deep fryers witll be broke at the hospital so I will not have to smell the yummy greasy smell of food!

Another Night.....

So after 2 hours of sleep today, I am praying I can keep my eating under control tonight. It seems so hard to eat well when I am really tired. My body seems hungry all the time . I also seem to lower my standards, it is like being tired drunk, I will eat bad stuff and then say well I am just so tired that I deserve it....so on and so on. I am taking my soup, grapefruit, oatmeal, and fruit snacks with me so I may make it. Well off to work I go....hi ho hi ho.

Night Shift

So, I think I did really good last night. I had my soup, a piece of chicken, almonds, banana, one pack fruit snacks, grapefruit, and oatmeal. I drank four 16 oz. glasses of water and 3 coffees. I had a lot of energy last night, and was in a pretty good mood. I am going to sleep now as I am wiped out. I hope to have another good night tonight and get in some weight time. Last night we all just raised and lowered our mouths. LOL. Hope everyone has a great day--off to bed for me!!

Off to work I go.....

Well tonight I have done the flip/flop....going back to work. I think I may request a leave of absence, to lose weight. I really think they would approve it, right!?
I have my weights, veggie soup, oatmeal, fiber bar, and fruit waiting by the door. If I can just stay out of the cafeteria tonight except for water and coffee, I will be ok. The fried food smell can be pretty tempting at night. LOL. I made a really yummy soup today.

Shredded zuchinni and squash from my garden this year
1 pkg Stew meat, pressured so it is really tender
onions
1 can carrots
1 can peas
broccoli pieces
2 cups cooked barley
beef broth
red pepper flakes
garlic, salt and pepper
celery chopped

Sounds kinda yucky, but has awesome flavor. Good filler too.

Well I had better get to work and make the best day possible.

Another Day...

Well I didn't do too hot on my eating today. I did better than I normally would have, but not as good I should of. On a positive note, Kaden and I walked two miles today. He even walked the whole way himself. We came home with some new treasures, a rock and some spikey balls that come off trees. He wants to put peanut butter and birdseed on the balls and feed the birds.

I go back to work tomorrow night, so it is going to be a challenge to get my exercise in. I don't wake up well, and usually wait till the last second to get out of bed, so working out before work is probably out. I am fine when I get off work, until I take my scrubs off, then I am finished. For some stupid reason, I dread changing clothes. I wish I could stand to work out in my scrubs, but after 13 hours in them, I am done with them. So I guess I am making excuses on why not to exercise on my work days. I am thinking about taking some little weights to the hospital with me and in my downtime lifting weights a little. This week will be a good test run on how I will manage exercise and work. I so wish I had a set schedule of working hours and days.

I guess the house contract has officially fallen through. We bickered back and forth and they did not counter back this last time, so I guess the gig is up. I know God has a reason for this, I just wish he would let me in on it.

Well, off to bed I go. Exercise and cooking for the week tomorrow, then work tomorrow night.

Alesha and I



Wow, so I had to tag you back Alesha!
Two can play the picture game, just remember who holds the originals to your bachlorette party...LOL!
No really, I do like the pic of the two of us.

So, my kind friend Alesha posted a rather large and unflattering pic of me and her with a smores in MY hand on her blog today. It really is a good pic of us, but I do not like any pics of me right now. That would be why I am usually taking the pics, not in them. So this pic actually opened my eyes tonight. I do not want to keep being the one behind the camera, I want to be in the pics, AND be pround of them, not picking them apart with what I don't like about myself. It was a real blessing to open her blog right before I went to bed tonight b/c I was going to bed without exercising b/c I thought I could wait until in the morning. Well I am not. I will exercise tonight and in the morn. Thanks for the now famous SMORES picture Alesha.
Today has been a pretty good day for my eating. I started the day off with 2 eggs and a few slices of ham. Had part of an apple with Kaden, then made a chicken breast with broccoli stir-fried and put onions and garlic in it. It was really yummy. This afternoon I could not pinpoint what I wanted, but I wanted something BAD! I caved and had a ding-dong with Kaden. After I ate it, I felt 100% better. A bad sugar pain for sure. But I tried to correct myself later. I cooked round steak cut like fajita meat, oninons and bell peppers. I did eat some tortilla chips and cheese, but didn't go overboard. Russell promised Kaden ice cream for cleaning his toys, so off the mickey d's we went. I passed on ordering, but did take a few bites from Russell's. Got home and downed a couple of glasses of water. I feel pretty ok about today's food log.
Tomorrow we are selling calves at West Plains. I am going to have to exercise before going so it will help me stay away from yummy salebarn food (grease). I am also going to have to not look at Sonic when I drive by in the morning.
Today was a beautiful day!

The New Weight-Loss Blog

Hey everyone! As most of you all know this is my second blog. I didn't think I should blog on our family blog about my weight loss journey. My friend Alesha Williams started a journey blog and the idea really started growing on me. So here we are. I am setting a goal of losing 30 lbs in 3 months from today, which will be April 17th, 2010. That goal will have me losing 2.5 lbs per week, which is an attainable goal.....I think. I hope this blog will help me stay motivated and encouraged. Alesha does not know this yet, but I am thinking a trip to the beach will be in order if we can lose a bunch of weight...what you think Alesha? I guess I better start saving money with each pound I lose too. LOL!

I will post weekly updates of my weight loss.
I will post monthly pictures (to see if I can tell a difference in myself).

I have started exercising on my elliptical machine, and man is it pathetic. I am hoping to build up 1-2 minutes on my time every week. That sounds really lame, but at this point any exercise is better than what I was doing last week. Ha!

I am trying to cut out sugar and sodas, and white stuff. I will not cut all my carbs out as that is not a way of life, but a quick fix to a long problem. I hope to get better at making healthier choices.

This blog is mainly for myself, but if anyone feels like following, feel free to join in. I really hope to make this work for life and get healthy.
